I've installed the new desktop app on a clients workstation (Apple Mac OS 10.14.6) and as with many of our users, they prefer to use their IP Desk Phone and they want to use the desktop app just to monitor their call queues, extension status's etc. But every time they get an inbound call, the dialer window is brought into the foreground and the call rings in the desktop app as well as on their desk phone.

I was hoping to find a setting in the app that would allow me to set the app to ignore incoming calls and/or not ring, or at least be able to control the volume or mute/silence the ringtone within the app (not within the OS/System). Adjusting the system/OS volume isn't a viable option is because this also affects the volume for all other apps and notifications as well.

Thanks!

Hi @dommyG

Since you have an IP phone, the best thing to do in this case is make a separate extension for the app (which no one will ever call) and give it the rights to monitor what you want.

There is no setting that can ignore calls, which wouldn't also affect your normal calls on the IP Phone.
You could point the app to use a different audio output under Settings >> Audio/Video (ie. maybe choose something like 'Line Out' or a dummy source) which does not produce any sound. This would not affect the rest of your system volume.
