I'm new to 3CX. I have installed the free version on a Win 2012R2 server to try out.
If I end up purchasing and using 3CX as our phone system, I plan to put the server running 3CX and all the phones on a separate VLAN. It makes sense to me to run DHCP on the same server to provide addresses to all of the phones.
However, the install guide for 3CX includes this statement: "3CX Phone System must not be installed on a host which is a DNS or DHCP server, has MS SharePoint or Exchange services installed."
Why is running a DHCP server on the 3CX server not considered an option?
