We recently upgraded from FreePBX to 3CX.
We are using the Aastra 57i phones that the firmware got upgraded from 2.6 to 3.3.1

I have the phones working with 3CX very well.

We are running into an issue when calling certain numbers, the foreign IVR doesn't accept the input from our user.
like entering an extension number or entering a number for a prompt.

it is specific to certain called numbers.

my DTMF method on the phone set to RTP. I found if I had it set to SIP or BOTH, users couldn't access voicemail on 3CX

any suggestions?

Thanks
Joe

RTP is simply the "stream", there should be some other choices for the DTMF Method to be used by the set.

Do you use a VoIP trunk, or a gateway? That can make a difference, as can your Codec choice, if In-Band is used.

The fact that it is "certain" numbers having the issue, may mean that their IVR has a lower tolerance for DTMF level and/or duration.

I just talked to voip.ms, they recommended changing the sub-account DTMF mode from Auto to In-Band
