Has anyone been able to find a solution to getting a DRS for backup up Debian VM on Hyper-V?

Copy the debian vm , after each major update to the system.

Use a third party hyperV backup software to backup the hyperv machine

Do 3CX backups to a location that can be accessed if you have to rebuild the Debian VM - if does not take that long to reinstall 3CX using the ISO and restore from a backup.

Thanks for the Speedy reply..

I am looking for a system that can capture it as a complete VM (image) for Debian OS version of the VM. is it possible to do it on Hyper-V or even a Vmware (ESXI)?

What's wrong with running a backup system such as Veeam if you are just looking for a image based backup?

Like @SweetAction said, you'll want something like Veeam to backup an image of the VM for easy restore.

My current scenario is for a DRS for a 3cx which came from the build ISO of Debian 10 VM on Hyper-V?
I believe that even using Veeam the Hyper-V integrated service for utilizing a backup is missing on the build? Has anyone managed to setup image backups on Hyper-V for a Debian 3cx vm?

Which gets me to believe that Hyper-V use cases for 3cx for Image backups is best used for Windows installations.

Not sure about a different hyper visor like ESXI.

Do not known if this works for debian

Why not install server backup on the hyper-v host and use this to backup to usb drive.

The hyperv tools are not installed by default from the 3CX iso but you can install them yourself, they are supported.

Any VM aware backup software will suffice. Acronis cloud is also good for backing up to cloud but we've also used Altaro.

Windows Server Backup is also capable of doing this.

This isnt really a 3CX related question though, you should speak with IT.
