Door Phone with Video

Hello,
I am looking for a door phone which will work with video and be able to make video calls with the new 3CX desktop App as well as the Mobile client on Android and iOS.
I have found the Fanvil and Grandstream products, but keep on stumbling over sources which claim that the video won't work due to codec incompatibilities.
So my question is: Is there a door phone which will work with the new desktop client as well as the mobile clients?
And what are the codecs which are supported by each?
Does AV1 work on any 3CX devices? And are there door phones which support AV1?

The second link specifically says, "Video is not supported in the 3CX Mobile Apps due to codec limitations. You can receive the video on the 3CX Web Client and Desktop."

I would be interested to know though, can it video call to desk phones? Other brands of phones?

AV1 is still too new to be anywhere except on GPUs.

However, if you find an intercom that can use VP8 (already supported) or H263 (could be added easily), then that would work.

@ConceptsWeb Hi, that thread does not seem to be available to the public? At least I do not have access to it.

So the mobile apps (iOS / Android) suppoort H.263 now? Are there any plans for H.264 that can be bought as plugin per client/app - if it is a licensing issue - as all (or most) doorbells I know only support H.264 and it's not like one switches out doorbells that often, so even if there will be a doorbell in the future that supports VP8, the issue will still exist with currently used doorbells.

Recently, Nick Galea mentioned in a partner forums post that the app will get H264 support at some point. They looked into it and apparently they can do it.

However we have no ETA and I know that the next few app updates will be mostly integrating Update 8 features.

@ConceptsWeb That is still great news. Waiting a few more months shouldn't really be an issue now but at least there is news that it will be done which I think a lot of users with SIP doorbells will appreciate.
