Hi,

We have customized 3cx Welcome mail and updated in the server, it is noticed that it is not working with new extensions.

But it works fine with the old extension if I resend the welcome mail. What could be the possible reason?

Can you default the welcome email back and try new extensions - if it works there but not with your custom one, you should look at what you've got in there.

What is happening now is if resend welcome mail from existing extn I am getting a new template and if I created a new extension it triggers the old template. That makes confuse

Hi,

I cannot replicate this in the latest version of our PBX 16.0.5.619

I would recommend to recheck what you edited in the template.

By the way note that the original template contains duplicated text (for different devices) so you may have edited only one version of it and not the other.

You may remove the parameter MAILTEMPLATE_EXTWELCOME_CUSTOM from your PBX to restore the original.

Basically, we have added two-three lines in the default template regarding how login IP phones using dial codes. This works with existing extn if I resend welcome mail bit not working with new extension when I create it. The edited template is added for your reference

Please let us know if I have to add somewhere else also reflect it all the extensions.

Hello,

I will need the following

- What is your PBX version?
- The contents of the parameter MAILTEMPLATE_EXTWELCOME_DEFAULT

PBX version: Professional 16.0.676
Attached default template

When comparing the two files you sent there seems to be a bit missing from your customized email.

Remove the parameter MAILTEMPLATE_EXTWELCOME_CUSTOM from your PBX to restore the original. Then try to edit it again, but careful not to remove any lines that may break the template this time.

You can use a text compare tool to highlight the differences between the two files you posted if you want to see exactly what is missing
