email notifications correct timezone

Hi,

I am using these 2 email variables in 3CX email norifications:

• New Missed Call : %%START_TIME%% Start time of call
• VoiceMail : %%TIME%% received at. "short" system default appearance (time only).

I have users in different timezones. Their desk phones have been provisioned in the correct timezone, and that works as expected (local time on the phone), so 3CX timezone functionality is confirmed working.

However, I am having issues getting the email notifications to respect the configured Time Zone for the user. The emails are in the local server time, no timezone adjustment is being made, so incoming emails look like attached picture.

Could someone point me in the right direction to get this working? Emails sent to the user should also respect the configured timezone setting, correct?

Have you checked the extension settings...home time zone?

The last response, would seem to indicate that the voicemail will use the timezone of the server, and not the one at the actual extension.

Yes, so far all older forum posts seem to suggest that timezone support in 3CX is limited to IP Phone Provisioning only. All other uses where a time is communicated to an end-user (emails, voicemail timestamp read-out, etc) all seem to use just the server local time.

Can someone from 3CX confirm this?

Would this be planned to address? Using 3CX with users across timezones is essential to us, and I would imagine, many companies.

Hello everyone!

Yes, I can confirm that right now, the timezone that is used is that of the Server, it is not on a per-extension basis.

It is not currently on our roadmap to change this, but you could approach your 3CX Partner to add a suggestion in the "Ideas" section of the forum.
