Emergency!!! Incomming calls get nothing but static.

Good afternoon,

System has been working fine for months and now...
All of a sudden today incomming calls recieve nothing but static when they come in. Outgoing works just fine.

Nothing on the network has changed.

Any help is very welcome.

Do you have logs? what gateway?

Did you restart everything?

maybe a gateway fisical problem?

Seems to be a BroadVoice issue

Calls comming in on Vitelity seem ok. Calls comming in on BroadVoice are messed up.

Anyone have the BroadVoice phone number? I can't get to their webiste right now.

Have you had Windows Update apply you some updates which have re-enabled your firewall?

Good afternoon,

Firewall is off on the 3cx server. I switched to the BroadVoice DC servers and incomming appears ok now. Must be somthing to do with BroadVoice or the connection to their Chicago servers and LA servers? Maybe a router or hub went wacky between here and there?

It is an odd problem because occasionally an incomming call works and outgoing call are fine.

Well if you can't get to Broadvoice's website then that might indicate a routing issue for you, as I have just got there fine.

After much testing via other pstn and cell phones, it appears that the problem is actually with the traditional local phone company after all. :shock:

Whew :roll:

Panic attack over :lol:
