May I check for the 3CX Phone System, to monitor the status in MS Outlook and automatically change the status of the extension. My understanding is to configure the synchronization of 3CX Phone System with Microsoft Exchange. First, we need to “Create an Impersonated Microsoft Exchange User Account” . This require our office 365 admin to create the account and require to provide admin roles.

Our office 365 admin unable to provide such rights. Therefore, would like to check if there are other methods available?

If you are using Office 365, then use the Office 365 integration. Not the Exchange one.

Yes, I am using Office 365. The only way to make Office 365 integration work require mine O365 admin to create an "admin" impersonated O365 account?

No, it works using API from the Microsoft Graph. See the link posted by Saqqara.

I need some help to understand this part on the requirement is an Office 365 plan and user login credentials with “Global Administrator” privileges. So it means that I need to use an O365 account with admin rights to do so?

This is because our O365 admin has some concern over giving admin rights to O365 users.

Hi Alan,

Please read the guide again carefully. It answers your questions, and no it does not give admin rights to O365 users.
