External call forwarded to mobile

Hi all,

Current 3CX v18.0 update 5 -

We have two unsupported providers.
There are hundreds of DIDs and users so instead of creating an inbound and outbound rule for each user to map DID i have done:

1. for Inbound : i have routed calls that come into (example DID 0372 689 * ) to a CFD that checks last 3 digits of DID and routes the call to the corresponding extension.
2. for Outbound : I have configured Main Trunk out parameters Contact and From User Part -> OriginalCalllerID . Under Caller ID reformat Outbound : source pattern (...) and replace pattern 0372689\1 ; and under each Users Outbound caller ID i put the extension number ( meaning the last 3 digits of their assigned DID).\

Now, all works great until a users sets status Away/DND/etc and forwards call to their mobile. when external call comes in to the dnd extension, 3cx forwards call to the mobile number but it is using a differnt number than the one that it should use ( not the DID of extension) . Example: mobile AAA calls in to 0372 689 250. 250 is away and forward to mobile. the number on mobile is 0372 689 072.
Wireshark trace shows that when pbx wants to call number it tries to present itself using 250 (instead of 0372 689 250) so it replaces that nr with default ddi. basically it does not use that source / replace pattern CallerID reformat configuration.

I hope what I said makes sense.
What do you guys think? what am i missing? i can provide traces or more info about this.
