Hi,

I have a strange issue on one of my systems after upgrading to V20 and I wanted to share it with you and ask whether you have encountered a similar problem.

Just to make it clear, I have tried to flash the phones & the door phone with different firmware versions, although it hasn't resolved my problem.

Description of the issue:

When the button is pressed on the i62 door phone it rings all phones in the ring group(X6U's) although there is no video feed coming on any X6U instead it constantly says "Loading", but the video never works.

The 3CX is self-hosted in Azure as it was previously. All IP endpoints are connecting via SBC, which is hosted locally on a Linux micro PC(Shuttle). I have also tried to build a small lab in my office with the same hardware, but I have experienced the same problem.

I would appreciate any ideas and please let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Try enabling PBX Delivers Audio on the i62 extension, under Options.

The rest largely depends on the network connection, and whether the video stream packets are modified by the equipment that sits between the devices. I can confirm that an i62 and X6U were able to connect successfully on a V20 machine (over SBC too). If you use STUN phones consider moving them to SBC.

We have a similar setup and started having this same problem with our i31S door phone and X7 desk phones and I can confirm that enabling PBX Delivers Audio on the i31S fixed the problem for us.

Also, I suggest you try to enable this configuration. If you are not sure where this configuration is specifically, please see the following figure:

If you have resolved the issue through this configuration, please let us know.

Thank you for your reply All!

I can confirm that the below does make some improvement, but we are still far away from seeing the video quality that we were able to achieve before.

  1. Enabling PBX Delivers Audio on all Intercom extensions.
  2. Changing the I Frame Interval to 1 on each panel.

After applying the above, we are still getting the “Loading” on the X6U’s when somebody presses the button. When they press answer, it then shows the video feed, however, it is really grainy and changing the I Frame Interval to 1, does improve it a bit, but the video quality is still far away from what we were seeing originally.

Once again thank you for your help and please keep this post updated in case you find a solution to this problem..

All the best,

Mike
