Hi All,

I have a client reporting issue's with their BLF keys, they are all running latest firmware (2.8.0.6251 ) I updated them yesterday. The BLF lights intermittently stop working so rather than being green for available or red there is just no light at all. The name is still listed but no lights. Then they will randomly start working. A reboot of the system or phones does solve the issue for a time.

Any ideas/help much appreciated!

Raspberry Pi SBC by any chance?

yup, same here. after fighting ntp issues with the last 3cx firmware and verifying an issue with time updates. the latest fanvil firmware seemed to have fixed the ntp issue. 3cx approved and released the latest fanvil firmware. i deployed it and noted that the ntp issue was fixed however, after a few days, random users started to report blf issues where the buttons do not work or are not the correct color.

i have x4's with custom template where i change the default page 1 blf's to shared parking locations.

i was going to post something about this but after my last experience, this seems to be a fanvil issue that needs to be addressed with them. squeak enough and it'll get fixed. you might check on fanvils site and see if they have a newer firmware version than the 3cx approved one (that's probably what i'm going to do) and see if that fixes it.

for now, simple fix is a reboot.

HERE IS THE FIX for the FANVIL X4 BLFs not working!

This has been driving me crazy for the last few weeks with the BLFs on our new Fanvil X4 phones intermittently failing and not allowing call pickups.

Change the option in the Fanvil X4 phone's UI
Line > Advanced Settings > Enable BLF List = true

I had previously tried upgrading to to 3CX V16, using the latest X4 firmware version 1.10.0.6586, but this didn't work.

I believe that the template option for this is:-
<Enable_BLFList>1</Enable_BLFList>
Hopefully 3CX will add this to the standard Fanvil template ASAP.

To update this globally accross all our phones, I have edited the Fanvil.ph.xml master template (in C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Http\Templates\phones) just under
to be:-

{IF ua=Fanvil X4}
<Enable_BLFList>1</Enable_BLFList>
{ENDIF}

I forgot to mention that I have also set Rport = true, which may have helped.

The blf issues are fixed in v16 and the latest firmware and templates. There is a known issue regarding parked calls behind SBC which a firmware is about to be released to fix.

So with newest v16 and latest templates the BLF issues should be gone other than that park issue behind SBC.

Please ignore my previous posts, I'm afraid that our BLFs stopped working again over the weekend!

Had issues with BLFs not working properly (briefly coming on then off). Since upgrading to FW 2.10.0.6586. They're behind a Pi, rebooting phones seems to have sorted that but will let you know if it comes back.

If you are on V16, use the default released templates and firmware.
If that doesnt work, and you are willing to test, also use this firmware - which isnt supported yet.

Hi Nick, what have you modified in this template?

Reason I ask is, I currently have a support ticket open with 3CX because of one way audio/no audio and phones ringing after call being answered. My set up is behind an SBC Pi and they want me to try with no BLFs.

I reduced BLFs per EXT to 6 (from 10) and I couldnt replicate the issue afterwards. (After v16 was installed over weekend) I had an issue with one way audio after the call was transferred.

Now, Im wondering if my issue was fixed and v16 has introduced a new problem.

I am using the standard released templates for V16 release version.

The one way audio issue when picking a call out of a shared park position, behind a SBC, is fixed by the firmware above. I worked with Fanvil on that issue over the past 4 weeks. Its not a 3CX issue.

Thanks Nick, I have installed this firmware on all our phones and will report back as soon as we've managed to give it a good trial.

I can confirm that the BLF issues on the Fanvil X4 are fixed with this new firmware (V2.10.0.6617).
Many thanks for your help Nick

Hi @Nick W I dont suppose you have that FW version for the X3G?

I'm able to get one way audio on my NFR system behind an SBC when I transfer a call.

I also have a live system at the moment who all have X4s who have one way audio once the call is transferring. I'm going to apply your FW to them all to see if that fixes it. In the meantime, i'd like to test internally and would like to get my X3 to V2.10.0.6617.

thanks

One way audio issue gone in FW 2.10.0.6617 so thanks @Nick W for that.

I've downgraded back to v 2.8.0.6251 so im on a previously supported FW (currently have support ticket with 3CX for another issue and dont want them to complain im using unsupported FW thats newer than what they've previously supported) and there is no one way audio issue.

If anyone wants to get this FW you can do so by visiting:

Hi all,

Please note that in a few hours we will be pushing out updates for the Fanvil Phones (except android-based models which will come on Monday). The updates will contain templates and firmware so please

 1. download the template first
 2. restart your MC to be sure the templates are loaded
 3. then apply the firmware update that will appear soon

We will expect your feedback afterwards for the improvements.
