Hi there,
I'm facing a strange issue where the Fanvil phones are getting stuck, so when someone calls an extension it
doesn't produce any ring tone, it only displays the incoming call on the screen. If I lift the handset, the phone still indicates an incoming call. The phones are running the latest firmware available from the 3CX. I called my distributor and they advised me to upgrade the phones with the firmware taken directly from the Fanvil website.
I have checked logs on the 3CX and found that most of the extensions are generating the excessive amount of the following log:
12/07/2020 4:30:44 PM - Endpoint Extn:206 has refreshed contact <sip:[email protected]:5060/UDP>
12/07/2020 4:29:46 PM - Endpoint Extn:206 has refreshed contact <sip:[email protected]:5060/UDP>
12/07/2020 4:28:48 PM - Endpoint Extn:206 has refreshed contact <sip:[email protected]:5060/UDP>
12/07/2020 4:27:50 PM - Endpoint Extn:206 has refreshed contact <sip:[email protected]:5060/UDP>
12/07/2020 4:26:51 PM - Endpoint Extn:206 has refreshed contact <sip:[email protected]:5060/UDP>
I have been told that this log indicates that the phone is updating its phone book, but if so, I guess it shouldn't
happen every minute.
I have seen the similar thread on the 3CX forum with a user having Yealink phones, and he managed to solve the issue by updating the phones firmware. My distributor has never heard about the similar issue, so I'm just wondering, whether the issue could be somewhere on the network infrastructure.
I would appreciate any suggestions
Thanks,
Mike
