Morning All,

The newest firmware Fanvil X5U FW: Maintenance release 2.2.10 stops the VLAN DHCP option (132 by default on Fanvil) from working.

I can see the 132 option in the DHCP response on Wireshark.
All phones on older firmware work.
If I manually set the VLAN via the web interface it works.

Does anyone know about this issue?

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

We will look into it

Hi David,

We will look into it

Thanks,

Let me know if you need any logs etc. Also, the 3CX wallpaper doesn't show, it's showing the 'Standard' blue wallpaper for Fanvil. We only have Pro version and so don't set this manually.

Do you mind doing a complete factory reset and reprovisioning?

Trying now. Although it looked like after the firmware update (completed via 3cx console) it had cleared all config

The VLAN should be set from your extension, not from the phone.

If it is set here correctly, then we expect that plug and play provisioning should send the correct settings:

We use the Fanvil option 132 to switch to the correct VLAN before provisioning can even begin

Morning JohnS_3CX,

Did you manage to identify this issue in the firmware? Is there a way around the problem?

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

We reported this to the manufacturer and are waiting for feedback.

I estimate we should have a reply by next week.

Thanks - it looks like the bug was added in X5U-2.0.5. Any older firmware it works

Did you happen to receive any feedback in the meanwhile? (Or any news on this item at all?)

Yes, the manufacturer was not able to detect an issue at least for now. If you have a problem to report it's a good idea to report it to them directly regarding this one specific issue.
