Fanvil X5U V2 not registering after moved to client site

We set up our first router phone on our first Startup Pro plan. Provisioned the phone in our office as a router phone and tested for a few days make sure everything worked fine. I then took it to our client's site where it initially registered, but then dropped sometime after I had left. What did I do wrong?

- Fanvil X5U V2 with latest firmware from 3cx
- Client's network is double natted - they rent a space within a building and have their own router
- Router is a Unifi Dream Router. Phone shows as online with IP address. Disabled Threat Management but no difference.
- Phone does not have a static IP (should it?)
- SIP Conntrack Module disabled

NAT won’t matter, the SBC is designed to tunnel through that.

A static or reserved IP is helpful for other phones to reliably connect to it.

Did you try powering off the phone? Any chance someone factory reset it? Can you get to the web client site from their network?

Test the phone elsewhere before you wipe it again.

If it works at the client's home for example, but not at their office, it could mean that there is something on their local network completely preventing it from reaching 3CX.

Failing that, delete it from the extension, add it again anew, and factory reset it to reprovision.

I have similiar issue with Fanvil v65. I have delete the phone and resetted it. Phone provisions itself, but then looses the connection with "Sip registeration failed". It gets all the settings, like blfs correctly, but does not register. Any idea why?

Thanks for all the input. The user power cycled the phone and it's worked for several days without any problems. I've re-enabled the Threat Management feature on the Unifi Dream Router and will wait to see if anything else happens.

Set your firewall to detect only mode. It should inform you if it considers traffic from the phone suspicious without actually blocking it.

At least you will know if that was what caused it.
