FAX Extensions Block WAN Request is ON

Hi,

I try to register the Fax extension with a hosted PBX, I assume the registration gest rejected because is coming outside the LAN.

FAX extensions does not have the "disallow use of ext outside the LAN" any work around this? perhaps via the console

SIP request (REGISTER) was rejected. Reason: Block WAN requests is ON.

Nope. None of the ATAs are supported for STUN. You'd have to setup a VPN or manually configure the ATA as a normal extension.

I don't believe that "remote" Fax is supported, unless using VPN. I assume it is because of issues (and more trouble tickets) when this was attempted in the past.

It's hard enough getting Fax to work dependably, using an ATA, when it is local to the server.
