firmware for wifi

hi,
I'm trying to install on the Intel Nuc, but during setup, I see a message that some of my hardware needs firmware files to operate. It's about the wifi which I need to finish the installation (otherwise I receive 'failed to retrieve the preconfiguration file'..)
I've put the required files in the firmware directory on the usb key, but still, the same message asking for the files appear during setup.
What can I do? I cannot use ethernet here.

What OS are you using? As with any initial install of an operating system, some drivers may have to be added later. Do it actually seem to apply the drivers?

I'm using the '3CX ISO (Includes Debian OS)' on a bootable usb drive.
During setup (detecting hardware) the message appears saying the files cannot be found although they are on the usb drive (tripple checked all filenames).

I'm wondering, if Wifi is not supported.

This is a Debian issue so you are better off asking in the Debian forums.
