Forbidden Calls

Hello all,

One of our customers has just moved to Gradwell for their SIP trunks and have reported intermittent error of forbidden on the IP phones. Looking at the logs we are getting a failed, cause: Cause: 603 Declined/INVITE. Asked Gradwell to do a trace and they said the line was busy: Requesting Hangup with SIP code 603 (Asterisk cause code 14). DEBUG: AGI Exec: NOOP Hanging up, BUSY. When asked if this could be a configuration issue. They said this was a normal response. Is there a way to state Busy rather than Forbidden? Thank you in advanced for any ideas or suggestions.

Yes, but that would depend on Gradwell returning something like a 486 BUSY HERE instead of a 603

That would also depend on what the upstream provider is sending to Gradwell so they may not have much control over that. it depends on what number you are calling.
