Solved Global MOH Question

Hi Internets,

We have some 30 different departments - each with it's own Call Queue. If I upload a custom MOH file to SETTINGS >> MUSIC ON HOLD - will this custom wav file play for all of these Call Queues? I certainly hope so - otherwise - I'll have to touch each of these Call Queues - each time we update our MOH file.

There is a global music on hold that comes into play when you put someone on hold using your phone, or transfer calls and the like. Then each queue typically has it's own on-hold music that is separate from the global music on hold for when people are holding in the queue. You will need to specify on-hold music for each queue.

While it is unavoidable to edit all 30 departments, I can suggest something that'll mean you only have to do it once going forward. If you go to Settings >> Music on Hold and create yourself a playlist. Under Manage Playlist, click Add and add your music.

Now edit each and every queue and select the playlist you've created. Fun.

Next time you need to change it, you'll only need to Add a new track, delete the old track and restart the 3CX PhoneSystem 01 AudioProvider service and you're good to go.
