Hey All,

We've deployed 12 GXP2170's to a customer recently and were experiencing a bunch of issues with the Windows SBC, we moved to the Linux SBC and it has corrected the majority of the issues. However, we are still seeing two extensions unregister and register, 10-15 times a day. When this happens all the BLFs go grey and take a moment to reconnect once the phone registers again.

3CX Server Hosted in Lightsail - 16.0U2
Linux SBC (Hyper-V) - 16.0.386
Grandstream GXP2170 - 1.0.9.134

All suggestions welcome! Thanks,
David

Please confirm your firmware version. You wrote .134 but the 3CX supported firmware is .132. Also, have you tried factory resetting the phones and re-provisioning them? As this is only happening with two extensions it may be phone specific.

You're right, did miss type that they are all reporting .132, we just manually tried .135 but it didn't help so we moved the phones back to .132. Just tried a factory reset from web gui, but same issue. We are increasing the RAM of the SBC from 2GB to 4GB and will report back.

Doubt it's a RAM issue. The latest supported Pi's only have 1GB and they do just fine with 20+ phones so 12 shouldn't sweat the box unless you have a TON of BLFs.

Hi David,

Since its only those specific extensions, can you try connecting them to an ethernet port that a "good" phone uses and see if this goes away?
