Hi All,

At first, I thought that remote archiving is for backups. Like it makes a copy of the recording and save it to the configured remote archive.
And in my case I tried using the Google Drive and it works. But when I delete the recording directly from 3CX Recording module, the same recording from Google Drive gets deleted.

Does that means, 3CX is directly accessing the archived recording from the Google Drive folder?

Please clear my understanding on this section.

Thanks

How did you delete the recording?

Hello,

This takes the recordings off the machine but still makes them available for access.

The recording is copied to the archive location, and removed from your local drive.

The recordings will still appear in your management console and can be managed and deleted from there as you have seen.

The benefit is that it saves space on your PBX Server, and makes backups smaller too.

Learn more here, especially on slide 7. You can press 'S' on the slide show to see the speaker notes

Hi Sir,

Does it also applies with the ftp?

Yes, applies to both.

One more question, I tried looking into the trash file of google drive, but I couldn't find the previous recordings.

Does it mean that deleted recordings is not recoverable?

Yes, delete recordings are not recoverable if you don't see them in Google Drive any more.
