How to change the voicemail extension number.

Hi All.

Hope this is a simple one!

We have setup a new 3CX server with 8 extensions and the voicemail number is setup as 999.

I wish to change this to something else.

How can I do this please, can anyone please help.

In the 3CX management console select Settings->General->Voice Mail Menu Extension Number.

What happens if different phones have different extensions inside the phone? I.E the 7970 defaults the voicemail extension to 666, whereas the 7960 has it set to 999.

Once you have changed the VM number in the PBX, you'd have to have all sets affected, download a new configuration file, which should reflect the change. If a device was manually configured, you'll have to log into the device to change the VM access number.
