In 3CX, you're supposed to be able to configure a SIP trunk with an alphanumeric sender ID, so that you can send one-way SMS messages.

What is a one-way SMS, and how does it work?
A one-way SMS uses an alphanumeric sender ID to send notifications, such as order updates or appointment reminders.
3CX supports Twilio as an offical SIP trunk provider

Twilio supports the ability to have an alphanumeric sender ID so that you can send SMS messages and the recipient sees the message comes from a named entity, not a mobile number. This also means that the recipient can not reply to the SMS, which is exactly what I want.

Is there any way to configure 3CX to send SMS messages via Twilio with an alphanumeric sender ID?

I dont think its possible to configure from 3CX, IIRC i've tried doing this myself once upon a time.

Yeah, I think you're right.
As it turns out, it looks like 3CX will receive one-way SMS with an alphanumeric sender ID, but it won't send them.

I had to create a helper running as a Cloudflare Worker to receive the text from 3CX, and then forward it to Twilio with my Messaging Service SID and it's all working perfectly.
