our 3cx connects to a sip trunk and inbound calls are routed through this trunk. my current failover configuration routes inbound calls to cell phones if the sip connection goes down.

i'd like to get one or two pots lines and have the calls routed to the pots lines instead during sip outages. ideally, these pots lines would sit as extensions on 3cx that would ring when inbound calls are routed to them during an outage. i guess i'm looking for a device that will function the opposite of the weltech ata 172 where this thing creates an analogue dial tone from a digital extension on the pbx and i'm looking to create a digital extension on the pbx from an analogue dial tone as provided by a pots line provider.

any ideas or suggestions to accomplish an alternate route for inbound calls would be great.

thanks

Hi Shawn,

Most definitely the Patton 411x JO (FXO) series model gateway. Very good solid product that will connect 2/4/6/8 Analogue lines to your system (you would want the 4112 JO model).

This model is full supported by 3CX for auto-configuration from the PBX also. The other alternative is beroNet which is also supported for auto-configuration.
