There are an obscene number of posts asking this question, and nobody seems to be able to answer the question.

EVERY SINGLE ONE of my customers says the ring time is too short.
Mostly seniors, I get scolded every few days by grumpy old people, "I can't even get out of my chair before the phone stops ringing!".

How the hell do I increase the ring time globally?

I've seen the per-extension option, but it only allows to specify the ring time for INTERNAL CALLS... and it's just missing from the external calls setting?
What's with that? 100% of my calls are external calls. Nobody dials by extension number.
I don't want to go through hundreds of accounts and make sure to remember to set a reasonable ring time for every user... I just want to set the default ring time globally.
Is this actually possible? How can this not be possible?

The ring time setting is actually valid for both internal and external calls.

That being said, most phones will block ring time after 60sec. Also, Queues and ring groups use their own ring time.

Hello,
As @ConceptsWeb said "The ring time setting is actually valid for both internal and external calls."
You can select all the extensions and edit in the same time the second in the forwarding rules via the management console.

Oh wow, that multi-select thing really helps! Thanks for the pro-tip.
I'd still prefer an option to set the default, but this is workable.
The UI really needs to be tweaked to move that field out of the Internal heading so it's clear that it applies to both.
