Hi community,
I have a big issue with my T41P Yealink.

So, I installed 3CX on OVH - All good, trunks via twilio, all great! I also installed the 3CX android app and via the barcode, all works fine.

However - I had originally clicked on Phones > Add Phone > Picked the Extension 000 (the default one) and the system sent the provisions without issues. Now, when the phone reboots it asks for the username and password and its always wrong - which I don't know why, as it's right and I've tried resetting it. Anyways, that's not my issue though at the moment, the issue is that even if I factory reset the phone, it keeps booting up to receiving the provisioning and it asks for the username and password.

I have already gone into Extensions > 000 > Provisioning and ensured that the phone is deleted and it is... It only shows the 3cx client on the drop down.

What can I do?

Hi tgttt,

I am going to presume although you have not said that there are using the direct STUN method for provisioning. These are provisioned now for 14 days on the 3CX side which is why you are seeing this behavior.

Either:

* Contact 3CX support with the MAC addresses (pictures of the mac sticker to prove you own them) and they can release these.

* Get a 3CX SBC up and running, I have had success re-provisioning across the SBC and wiping the STUN configuration, I have also seen one or two having the same results on the forums.

Either way SBC is definitely the way to go with cloud.

follow the steps for Provision via RPS server in
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t4-series/

You need to add the phone to the correct extension, and provision it via RPS server

It is asking for username and password, as the device has been registered on Yealink RPS server - either ring yealink or wait two weeks

I opened a ticket with Yealink but no response yet.

If I assign the phone to another extension and provision via RPS, it works until I enter the username and password and the phone just hops back to the username field... no error or nothing.

Check the firmware on the Yealink, is it current?

If you log into the phones web interface and traverse to the security tab is the trusted certificate only setting enabled ?

If so turn it off and try again.

Also ensure on the extension itself the direct SIP connection outside of LAN setting from the guide is selected.

Thanks to all... I didn't know that the password on initial startup was the voicemail PIN...

Make sure your https port is open on the firewall - normally 5001
