I am new to managing our 3CX server. We are running version 15.5 and I tried upgrading a couple months ago. However, after the upgrade all our phones were ringing continuously. I had to revert back to 15.5. After googling, I saw others who had the same issue and they said the solution is to upgrade the firmware. I would like to do that. But I don’t see how to do it in 3CX. When I go to phones and click the +firmware at the top on a selected phone, it does not show any available firmware. I went to the grandstream website and downloaded the new firmware. Where should I place it on the server so that 3CX sees it available?
Thanks

Hi @ITHelp

What phone models are you using and what firmware version are they currently on?

I have a mix of grandstream phones gxp 1405, 2130 and 2160.
I am out this week, but I think they have version 1.0.5.x on them.

Ok take a look at the below links, which contain detailed instructions and links for firmware:

GXP 1405 (legacy support only) https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/grandstream-gxp/

GXP 2130 and 60 https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/grandstream-gxp21-series/

If your existing firmware is too old and does not allow you to upgrade, you will need to visit Grandstream's site and follow their instructions to step-upgrade through all the versions sequentially until you reach the point where you can install the 3CX firmware from your console.
