Hi Guys,

Have a weird one here ... in a specific case a 3cx client asked if if was possible to completyl change the caller ID for incoming calls.... nothing to do with keeping the original number or part of it.... but literaly replace it by ex: Client1

Anyone ever done this?

Thank you, i read that but didnt see anywhere that you could use text in the format... will try it in my lab.

Let us know if you face any issues

Ok, but just for fun you think it will accpet text like : Customer1 ?

I have not tested this but i believe it will. Try using "(.*) " as source and replace it with "Costumer1"

Thx... what should i ise is i want a specifig number to be chanfed to sales1 :

Ex : only 5145551234 gets changed to Sales1 .. all the rest stays as is...

If that number is in the 3CX Phone book then a match there will display whatever name you have put against it, overriding the name sent from the provider (or, it should). However...there may not be a way to eliminate the number and still do a match in the phone book.
