I have a client with an on-prem 15.5 server that uses an ISP provided appliance for call routing. I am in the process of migrating them to a hosted SIP trunk (Flowroute) and then moving them to an AWS instance for their 3cx server.
So step one was to port their number from Spectrum to Flowroute. The first number came through yesterday. I had the Flowroute SIP trunk set up like it shows in this article: https://www.3cx.com/docs/usa-sip-trunk-flowroute/
Since the port went through, most calls never make it to the PBX and users report hearing "this number has been disconnected". Every once in a while (maybe 1 in 20) will get through and the call gets routed to the correct extensions as expected.
I opened a case with 3cx and with Flowroute. 3cx support is looking at the log files and saying that the calls are never getting to the PBX. Flowroute is looking at their logs and saying it's making it through their network just fine. So this leads me to think maybe its a firewall issue? But the 3cx Firewall checker passes and I would think if a firewall was blocking 5060 for instance that the calls would never get through. Not sometimes work and sometimes not.
Any help would be most appreciated!!!
