Hi Guys,

We're planning on adding Local SIP Provider in our 3CX (hosted in cloud).
They do provide the trunk but they need to identify if it is compatible.

This is there query to us:
Is it compatible with 3CX Phone System (our PBX system) – Your 3CX Phone System is capable of SIP Trunk but we still need to check if it is compatible with PLDT SIP, may I request if you can provide TYPE approved of your PBX system.

Where can I get the TYPE approved?

Thanks

Is it this : https://www.pldtenterprise.com/solutions/voice-communication/local-service/sip-trunks ?

If so, PLDT is a provider, not a "type". Just check if it's in the list here : https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/

You are using two different terms which don't mean the same. Approved would be on the certified list that @Frederick Marcoux posted. Compatible should be any SIPconnect compliant service. I've been able to make every trunk we've come across work with 3CX although it's a bit of a headache which is why we went through the trouble of becoming a 3CX approved provider ourselves. As long as your provider is willing to work with you and you are comfortable with tools like wireshark you should be able to get it working.

I would recommend choosing a supported provider from the list posted above. It will save you a lot of time and effort and you will know that your provider is tested and works with your phone system.

The reason why we want to use a local provider because we will be using it for local calls only.
Mainly for HR and Admin calls.

What should I reply to them in regards to their question?

"May I request if you can provide TYPE approved of your PBX system."

Just ask them if they work with 3CX and if they can provide you a config for testing.

My guess: yes it will work anyway. Their "PLDT" is a company, not a VoIP concept.
