Good Afternoon Colleagues
I hope you are doing good and safe .

May i know if you have experience / success story integrating Planet VOIP gateway VIP-480 with 3CX version 16 ?

I tried but failed.

Thx in advance.

Best Regards

Doing a quick lookup on that device shows it to be 2 FXS and 2 FXO ports , but it seems there are other configurations as well.

Did you see these links?

More details on exactly what function you are trying to get working (FXS or FXO), and the configuration of your 3CX setup would help, along with what error messages you are getting in the 3CX Activity logs. Not having a 3CX template, is probably going to make it a bit of a challenge.

Good Morning Leejor
Thanks for your detailed replay and your always support . I already have the guide of integrating 3CX with Planet gateway but the guide is very old (based on 3CX V8).

I worked on the configuration in this manual but i even cant get FXO/FXS ports of Planet gateway being registered to 3CX.

In the example in the guide , The extensions number and password is set the same (3 digits). Also Trunk number and password is the same (5 digits) . For 3CX V16 (As you know) , The minimum password length is 6 digits . I don't think this should be a problem but want to list whatever details i can share.

The post also was useful but it was very old (from about 11 years)

Does 3CX Activity logs can help viewing messages between 3CX and gateway or only when there is active call ?

Best Regards

Is the 3CX server hosted, or local? (you might want to review the last link I attached about providing some information about your system.)

The 3CX Activity Log should show you if there a registration issue, and give some clues as to what that might be.

Are you trying to register both FXS and FXO ports? If so, you might want to pick just one type to start with. I'd go with getting FXS working first.

Since the manufacture is obviously familiar with 3CX, you might want to contact them to see if they have any information on using their device with an updated version of 3CX.

Good Afternoon Leejor
Thx for your replay . I checked 3CX activity logs for other devices (another gateway from another vendor and IP Phone) and i can find exchanged SIP messages but for planet gateway , I can't find any SIP messages although i can reach it via web access.

The gateway has the ability to export pcap file . I generate it but can't find any SIP messages.

I will try another gateway from the same part number (which we have in stock) and will also contact the vendor if i encounter the same problem.

I will revert back to you once those tests done.

Thx in advance.

Best Regards
