Internal calls Callback on busy (by pressing a specific dial code)

Hi All,

many traditional PBX have a function that permit a caller to be recalled back automatically by pressing a specific number on the phone keyboard. Can we have this smart function on internal calls in 3CX?

But please let's have it for external calls too! I have replaced our UNIFY PBX with 3CX and people are moaning because of some missing features.

Although we use mostly Yealink handsets which support the call completion feature this would be great for use with other handsets. Having it for external calls would also be great, not sure how easy this would be to implement though.

How does call completion work exactly? I have enabled it on the phones but when calling a busy extension it still just goes straight to voicemail

You could create a call flow designer application that does this for you. You could assign this CFD application to a button on your phone. When pressed, the application would look at the last number you dialed, and start monitoring for when this number was no longer connected to a call. As soon as the other party hangs up, the application could call you back (MakeCall). If you don't answer, because you have walked away from your desk, the other party would not be contacted. This would require a windows service as well as the CFD, but if you need it now, it can be done.

While this is straightforward to do for internal extensions, I don't see how this would be possible for external phones since the only way to know the other party is off the phone is to call the number repeatedly. That seems infeasible.
