Hi All,

My goal is using different ringtones to differentiate incoming internal & external calls on my Yealink T46U deskphones.

I've managed to change ringtone for internal calls and I believe external calls will be using default ringtone. However, I got a weird issue, you may refer to my scenarios below:

First Scenario
1. Caller = External Caller or Internal Caller
2. Callee = Deskphone 1 (without DID, caller called to Main Line and it is assigned to a Ring Group 1, Deskphone 1 is a member of Ring Group 1)
Result : Both External & Internal calls are using same ringtone (Failed)

Second Scenario

1. Caller = External Caller or Internal Caller
2. Callee = Deskphone 1 (with DID, external caller called directly to its DID, internal caller called to extention)
Result : Different Ringtones are being used for External & Internal calls (Successful)

In summary, when external callers make a call directly to DID, different ringtones are being used. However, I won't be assigning DID to every single deskphone in my office. I need help and suggestion to resolve the issue in my first scenario. I am using V20 and it is hosted on 3CX

Hi @PJJJJ

Please read this thread. It's more or less the same issue you are having.

Hi Yiannis, thank you for the instruction.

I am currently using Version 20.0 Update 0 (Build 1340), I might need to upgrade to latest am I correct?

Thank you

The fix will included either to the next release candidate (if there is one) or in the final version of V20. Release Candidate 2 does not include this fix

Hi Yiannis,

The final version of V20 at the moment is Version 20, Build 1458? If yes, I will work on the upgrade to fix my issue.

No, the build with the fix is not available yet. It will be in the next release what ever that release may be.
We are currently on Release Candidate 2. So the fix will be available once Release Candidate 3 or the final version of V20 is released.
Keep an eye out on our blog post for releases.
