Can you guys help? we are using a Startup plus hosted solution. No dashboard to whitelist our ip

Hello,

How do you know that your IP got blacklisted, where did you see that exactly?

While trying to login in webclient, it says our IP is blocked, we can access portal.3cx.com/customer/systems but not 1218.3cx.cloud/webclient

Ok understood. Normally it should not blacklist you, so can you tell me the details of how you were trying to register the Yealink?

If we understand what went wrong we can then prevent this from happening again.

I did it through the webclient portal and setup as a router phone everything worked as it should but ophone did not registered. After that it lock me out of the webclient portal

Can you tell me please what version your T54W firmware was when you tried to provision it?

The firmware is 96.84.0.125

Ok this explains why this happened. The old firmware cannot be used for a router phone and it caused the blacklisting of your IP.

Here is what you need to do next:

1. Factory Reset the phone
2. If it asks you to enter your provisioning user / pass again, please cancel it. Do not provision it yet.
3. Upgrade the firmware to the version you find here, and let me know if your upgrade completed successfully
https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/

This is also fully covered here in our guide which I highly recommend to read first:
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t5-series/

Thanks, highly appreciated, we will do that, what about our IP?

First confirm that your phone has been factory reset and remains unprovisioned (otherwise it will immediately blacklist you again).

OK Tnx. Firmware not upgrading. Will contact Yealink support. There are newer firmwares on their site. Can we upgrade to those or should we stick to the one 3CX suggests?

You need to use the specific version that 3CX provides, this is necessary for the router function.

The reason you cannot upgrade is because Yealink does not usually allow you to jump from a very old version straight up to a newer version. Basically you need to install the version that is in between those two. I think you will need version xx.85.xx.xx because you are currently on a V84 generation firmware. Try installing T54W-96.85.0.5.rom from their website, and if you succeed you can then try to install our version

Thanks for the first class support

Very happy to help, let us know how everything goes!

I had a similar experience with a Yealink T54W and I found this thread to be very helpful. I provisioned a T54W and as soon as it connected I got the IP got blacklisted error. I am still having problems though.
- I reset my T54W
- I uploaded the 3CX suggested firmware 96.86.0.74
- I changed my IP address and logged in to my managed free 10 user account
- I removed the T54W IP phone from the account.

I can register (provision?) the phone again when I am on another network, it shows my extension and it works. When I switch my computer, back to the original IP address, it still blocked, and I can't log into 3CX.

I wend back to the different network, logged in, and I removed the phone again and even with no hard phone attached to my account I still can't use 3CX on the original network.

I am assuming there is no dashboard in 3CX with the free hosted solution, or is that a different location than the 1248.3cx.cloud webclient login? I found this https://www.3cx.com/docs/allow-deny-ip-addresses/ but I don't see this in the webclient.

Is there another way to whitelist my IP address?

Does 3CX have this dashboard on a hosted system, or is that the vendor that got assigned my account if I want to upgrade?

Do I need to pay for support to get this unlocked?

thanks
-david

Hi @dditzler

3CX StartUP does not have as dashboard for you to remove the blacklisted IP.
You will need to wait for the IP to be automatically removed from the list. In the meantime do not attempt any registration traffic from the blacklisted IP as that might prolong your blacklist time.
No you do not need to pay for support. You just need to wait.

Thank you so much. Is there a typical timeframe for the IP address to be removed from the blacklist?

There is but this is not something we can share in public for security reasons. Also it depends on the reason you were blacklisted.

OK thank you.
