Is there a way to limit who can dial an extension

I have an extension for the President, let's call it 1001, and I want to limit which extensions can dial / connect with that extension. Ideally, if they are not on the "list" that can dial that extension, then their call should be rerouted to the Presidents assistant at 1002. This should also apply to incoming calls being prevented from entering that extension directly and reaching the President.

As already ConceptsWeb stated, you can use exceptions in order to block or redirect calls reaching extension 1001.
