We have an IVR configured just as a dummy placeholder for an out of hours recording.
All of the number options are set to "do nothing".

Invalid entry is "Repeat Prompt"

When a person calls out of hours, dialling any number from 1-9 rings the extension instead of "doing nothing" or "ending call" or "repeating the prompt".

The client is complaining that their phones are ringing out of hours.

Any ideas?

Attached a pic of the setup of the IVR.

You said it rings 'the extension'. Which extension is 'the extension'. Turn on verbose logging and find out why it's routing to 'the extension'. Most likely culprit is a SIP ID setting matching 1-9.

Thanks for your reply Cobalt.
Its calling reception (ext 800). I'll do some testing tonight afterhours with the logging on verbose and take a look.
Not heard of SIP ID before. Where can can I view these in the console?

SIP ID is on the options tab of an extension but if you haven't heard of it, that's probably not the case. It's also weird that any press would route to the same extension since you can only have one SIP ID per extension.

Just checked and none of the ext have SIP ID's configured.
I'll grab the relevant section of the verbose logs tonight and update.
Ta Cobalt.

Hi Cobalt,

Pls find attached a call log of an out of hours call.

Hi @Polyhedron

The default behavior of the IVR is that if somebody dials an extension number the system will connect them to the extension.

So they were not really dialing an invalid entry, they were actually dialling an extension and the system connected them is what I suspect happened.
