IVR won't let me record anymore

trying to change IVR wav files and normally it calls an extension. Phones are working fine and all inbound and outbound calls are working. but here is a screen shot of the IVR Config page. the mic button is grayed out and cannot call an extension to allow recording. seems the software is broken? everything was working fine in august 2024.
any ideas?

Its greyed out because it doesnt detect a microphone.

it has always let you specify an extension to call and record from. it prompts for a file name then prompts for the extension to call. under personal greetings that function still works

i always have though. this system i just installed this summer and that is how we recorded all the IVR files. its how the office administrator has always made the holiday greetings and IVR / auto attendant messages. this just broke recently.

that's frustrating because no one in the office has a "mic" on their desktop computers to make these changes. I see that thread says December 2023, however, I just installed v20 this summer at this location and it worked....guess we will have to wait for them to "Fix" it, because i consider it broken as it worked before on all three of our current v20 installs. thanks for the thread and i will follow it there.

i went back to the original v20 beta download and reinstalled, uploaded backup file and disabled auto updates and it seems to work again, it must have been in that old beta and they removed it with the production roll out.
that work around by using the greeting record and then copying the wav files inside the installation folder is too complicated for the office personnel. i found the idea thread and it allows upvotes and looks like there's only 170 votes. bummer :-/

dang and i spent all that time creating a CFD. im gonna test this too but i implemented the CFD after about 2 days of searching for other ideas. looks like enough people wanted the "feature" back. ;-D

Learning the CFD isnt a bad thing, but yes, it was a popular request to bring it back!
