Hello there,

is there a way to modify the music that is played after a user has accepted an make call
or is it even possible to play an "dial tone" while the user waits for the called party to answer.

thank you for your ideas.

this music is taken from what's specified under the Music on Hold menu from Settings page in MGMT console.

You have not offered the scenario where you are using MakeCall, but I'll try and offer some ideas for your consideration.

One option would be to change the order of who is called first. You could, for example, perform the MakeCall where it calls the outside party first. The other extension could be a queue with no on-hold music. In this scenario, the agent is not called until the remote contact answers the call. The outside party hears nothing until an agent answers the queue call. But in this case, you better make sure there is an agent available and ideally they would be configured to auto answer.

Thank you for your ideas,

the customer uses makecall regularly when calling from an external crm (DATEV) over a TAPI-Line. Is it possible to select a different on hold music for makecall then the default onhold-music when a caller is held? then we could maybe make this work with a "music" that immitates an actual call-setup.

thank you in advance.

You cannot specify a different on-hold music for calls made by MakeCall.
