Hi all

I have an installation that recently have been updated, now the memory usage us way over the top, and the server crashes often.
After a reboot the memory usage resets, but rises after a few hours to the same level.

Would a reinstallation and restore backup solve this issue?

Version 15.5.12663.5

Are you running SP5 beta in a live system ?.

Do you still have SP4 backups, maybe worth going back to this version

Are you running Windows Server or Windows Client? Not sure why, but we've seen running in a 3CX in Windows Client takes more RAM then running in Windows Server.

could you expand the process to see which process it is in detail?

I have found the error and the solution.
It was the "3CX PhoneSystem 01 SIP Server" that was eating up all the memory.

Problem was that a extension (208) have been removed recently from the system.
But almost all SIP Hardware phones, still have the BLF for this extension.
this resulted in a lot of "Request: Subscribe" from all these phones. (500+ packets/sec)

and thereby "drowning" the server.
I created extension 208 - dummy, and everything went "back to normal".
The SIP phones model: Mitel SIP 6869i (FW: 5.0.0.1018)

Great troubleshooting! Were the BLFs manually added (custom template) or provisioned using the 3CX UI? If the latter, maybe 3CX can automatically cleanup when an extension is removed to prevent this from happening

Template is custom. It's a modified version of aastra.ph.xml (attached)
Added all the newer Aastra 6865i, Aastra 6867i and Aastra 6869i models.
and using the real 00085DXXXXXX.cfg file, created from a real Aastra A470 PBX, for the same phone type. I could also add in a few of my own ingrediens, like screensaver images.

Firmware is found on Aastra/Mitel own ftp server at:
ftp://ch-6700i-ro:[email protected]
language and translation for the phones:
