I am doing some testing and attempted to migrate my local Debian installation up to Amazon Lightsail using the PBX Express tool (first time using it). I went through the wizard expecting to see an option for providing a backup file, but never did. Now I have an instance running up in Lightsail but I am not familiar with a way to manually feed 3cx my on prem backup file to do a restore. Perhaps I was not using the PBX Express tool as intended and should have done a manual install in my Lightsail instance.

Has anyone else run through this process? I searched around on the forum but didn't see this particular scenario mentioned.

Thanks,

Dewayne

I believe you will need to do manual install.. I don't think PBE has restore capability.

Hello @D3w4yne

Please note that during the PBX Express installation wizard does not provide the option to restore from backup. You can however restore your configuration after the installation is done. Just create a backup without licence and FQDN of your current system and upload it to the backup location set in the management console. After the backup is done you should see the backup available for restore.
