Hi Everybody,

got a little problem here. One of our users has his phone always forwarded via DND to his receptionist, she then decides if he has time to speak or not. The problem is he receives a missed call in the webclient also for each successful forwarded call, which is annoying him and also does not makes sense to me.

Is there a solution for this problem?

Kind regards

Have you tried using another status for forwarding this way, like the Away or Avail 2? Not sure why a receptionist would decide when he answers his phone but anyway.

Hi,
yes with Away and Avail2 it's the same.
She decides if he has time to answer the call or if she can already answer the request and stuff like that.
Kind regards

Actually, any Profile status would result in a missed call, as the call is indeed a missed call for the extension that forwarded the call elsewhere and there is no way of disabling it.

Ok, is there another way to accomplish the goal that he is not reachable directly and all calls go to his receptionist, but he does not receive the missed call message? It's kind of annoying to him, because he is also using the iPhoneApp which always makes a noise when he "missed" a call.

Kind regards

I'm afraid not, if someone calls his extension directly, a missed call will be received if the call is not answered by him. You can however get rid of the missed call notification on the iPhone App by disabling the "Accept Push Notifications" option for the Do not Disturb profile. This you can change in the Management Console under "Extensions >> Edit >> Forwarding Rules >> Do not Disturb >> Options":

Hi @ChrisC_3CX,
i think that's the best we can do at the moment. The only problem is, that you don't see the chat messages pop up on the phone then.

Thanks for you help!

Kind regards
