In the process of trying to setup automatic archiving of recordings: "Immediately - After the call ends", but this option no longer seems to be available since V20 Update 3?

Following the steps here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/call-recording/

There is no option to Enable Remote Archiving on the Recordings > Settings page.RecordingSettings.png
I managed to find the option to Enable Remote Data Storage & Archive in System > Storage instead, but there's still no option here to archive Immediately - After the call ends, as was available previously on the Recordings settings.

Has this moved somewhere else or has this functionality been removed??

Many thanks

You can still archive your recordings but not immediatly. 1 day is the shortest time.

It has moved to System > Storage

So the feature's been removed, thanks for confirming

It was such a useful feature that was only added in Version 20 and a big selling point for a certain client that gives access to the call recording archive (another FTP server on site) to certain staff members. The time stamp of the calls changes when they search for the call recordings now.
Will this feature return in the near future?

You may want to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager tool. Here are some of the main differences between how 3CX handles recordings and how we do:
  • Recordings are archive the second the call is complete
  • Archived recordings are compressed to 1/4 of the original size without noticeable degradation of the audio
  • Granular access to both the original and archived records without needing permissions to the 3CX console
  • Extensive integration into OpenAI allows you to ask anything of your recordings
  • Granular control over who's recordings are analyzed by OpenAI (cost savings feature)
  • Import existing recordings and archive simultaneously
  • Automated agent scoring
Over the years we have provided integration with many different companies who "analyze" call recordings for compliance, sales recommendations, etc. Now you can do it yourself and ask any question you want, and score based on criteria you specify, and do it all automatically.

This was only added due to the need of Google Speech API V2 needing the recordings to be archived in order to transcribe them. As that is no longer needed with Open AI then this feature was abandoned.
