Hi all, ;)

I've modified our MailTemplates by the 3CX web interface of our server and I would like to push the modifications to all our servers.
We have something like 20 3cx servers all on cloud and hosted by OVH.

Like I've found a file named "/usr/share/3cxpbx/SPUpdateDbScripts/sqlScript.xml" which list all the mail templates I've tried to modify it and to check the changed on the web interface but it's not
synchronized. I think that's because I need to apply this changes to the db maybe but I don't know how to do it :/
Same when I check on our main server, I don't see the file modified, but on the web interface I see them correctly modified. Maybe that's only modified in the db :/

If I could just push the file modified from our main server to the others and update the db it would be perfect. Writing 20 times again the templates in HTML will make me crazy héhé

Warmly,
Gaby Société Easylia.

Hello @gaby

Accessing the database of the 3CX phone system will void your support for these machines so i would not recommend doing so. Your best bet is to copy the templates from the original server and manually change them on the rest of the servers.

hi @YiannisH_3CX,

Ty for your response,
But i don't know which file is the good one to copy paste on the others servers to change the mail templates.
Can you tell me which one is :3 ?

Hi @gaby

Go to Settings > Email > Email Templates and pick the template you wish to change

Once you test it and are happy with it, you will have to do this on all the servers one by one just by pasting the modified HTML.

Hi @JohnS_3CX,

Thank you.
I thought I could do it by just modifying a file on the server :'(
Can you confirm me that I can't do it by editing a file with vim by example ?
If you confirm it, you can close the ticket. I'll never do it manually on twenty servers xD

Yes, please avoid editing the files directly, if you need to make modifications its best to do it via the MC. The system will not expect or know if you modified any files that it considers intact and that may break certain functions the PBX performs

It's a little bit annoying but i understand :'( !
Can i add the idea to edit the mail templates from files in the forum ? :D

Ty for all your responses guys.
Have a good week !
