Hello @complit,

We are working also from our end to upload the extension to the Microsoft Marketplace.

At the moment we are waiting from their end to prepare the infrastructure for the Edge (Chromium based).

We are still surprised by the addition of the GRP series. I wouldn't expect other GS phones for some time. Specially since their firmwares are a bit disconcerting.

Does this address the issue where the SIP service crashes on Debian?

Very impressed with the new Chrome plugin. It is making the browser based system surpass the old application with both looks AND functionality. Can I ask though, could it be made so that when you click the icon in the control tray, it brings up the extension, or the 3CX webclient rather than a configuration web page? If you close the extension, it will still work if a call is received, but you can't use it to dial out. You must open the webclient. This is the behaviour on my computer anyway. Perhaps I have a wrong setting?

There have been quite a few improvements in this area, so I would highly suggest you try it out.

Hello
good jobs ! webclient progress well, with the new chrome plugin we are thinking to uninstall the old windows app on our computers for the new webclient.
some things :
  • ringer on an second soundcard works strange, it rings when I make a call but not when I receive one
  • plantronics has disappeared from headset integration , will come back soon ?
  • il seems that the first 2 secondes of a call are missing when we use the chrome plugin ( we don't hear the first "Allo" )

then with these both features :

https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/softphone-audio-device-toggle.46924/#post-288598
we will definitively leave the old windows client !

Hello @datamerge ,

Definitely this is not something misconfigured from your end. This how Chrome treats all Chrome Extensions when you click on system tray.

Something else that you can configure on your end, but it requires Chrome to be focused is keyboard shortcuts on chrome://extensions/shortcuts. You can specify a keyboard shortcut that will open up the dialer.

In the meantime we are working on Chrome Extension to provide the keyboard shortcut functionality without Chrome to be in focus.

Hi @Stephane REVOL

The ringer should only ring when you receive a call, maybe you confused it with the speaker?
These can be configured from the below screen.

Plantronics still works, tested with their Hub v3.15 installed.
Please check here to enable it after confirming the headset is plugged in the PC
Note: Standard license provides only Sennheiser as an option

This might be related to your network perhaps, in testing here we have audio immediately upon answer from time 00:00 on the counter (even on a cloud hosted PBX).

If you face any issues you can't solve with the above instructions, then I suggest to start a new thread directly in the Webclient forum section

Hello everyone, this was the update I've been waiting for.
Unfortunately I'm not able to select the audio devices from the menu.
I've enabled everything from Chrome site settings, but still cannot select any device:

Any suggestion?
Thanks

Hi @JohnS_3CX

my settings was ok :
13588

but after some tests, it seems that the default first settings are not taken.... I explain :
realtek was the default settings when I've opened the webpage for the first time. As it was what I want, I do not changed it. -> test KO
I just changed to plantronics then comeback to realtek -> test OK !
infact it seems that the first default settings use the default windows output ( I was able to move the ringtone from my headset to the external card by changing the windows speaker )

second thing, I still have the ringtone on the "ringer" (external realtek soundcard ) when I do a call to a colleague. I think it should be on the "speaker"

for the headset integration, you're right ! my test 3CX is a standard version, I will check on my productive 3CX when updated.

regarding the first secondes missing, we will check some other "contexts" ( like with a physical phone). But I will be surprised by a network issue as we never saw this issue with the webclient in 16.U3. moreover our tests are currently all into the same vlan... I will let you informaed on another thread.

thanks !
Stéphane

The GRP2615 template has an issue. When I map a line button in 3CX, it shows up on the phone as a BLF. Ditto for the Shared Parking.

Hi, so if a user accidentally clicked Deny when the chrome extension asked for permissions to access the audio/video devices how do you then give permission ?
