Hello,

We are in the process of moving 3CX backups to another provider and after they have been uploaded and pointed into the directory, 3CX will not read the old backups. Any ideas?

What are the permissions on the directory they are stored in?

Root admin privilege
Are you sure the directory is exactly correct as in my experince they are visable in the management console. If you run a new backup can you see the the backup in the same directory as the old backups?

Yes, same directory name I can't see the old backups only anything new going forward.

If you FTP to the server using a different FTP client can you see the backups in the same folder as the old backups?

Using the latest Google Chrome, I switched to FireFox same files I can't see the old backups.

pointed into the directory

What do you mean as I don't recognise this term?

Is the file actually saved in the 3CX backup directory, or is it a link to the file?

Given that your new backups are listed normally, then either the previous backup files are not present or it is a pemissions issue as suggested by Rhys.

Good luck

Same directory path as the files were before on the other location.

you must give the permission to the user phonesystem in order for the PBX to read it. 3CX does not act as root on the host

Yes, and that's how it set up the user name and password that i'm using has administrative rights on the FTP server. Why doesn't it read? All I did was move from one location to another FTP server the backups.

No idea but I can confirm that I've moved backups before and it reads fine. But I don't do FTP because well it's ancient and problematic. Any chance you can try SFTP?

Hi @rjamesm2884 based on the other issue we were discussing here I've since noticed you had some backups that were had spaces in their names, and those won't show up. Other backups that had no spaces did show up correctly though, so if you rename the missing ones like our example they should also begin to appear in your management console.
