Hi, I have seen a couple of posts about this before and I found a couple but they were closed with no resolution.
Around 3 or 4 months ago something changed where I now have to have a webcam attached to my PC in order to share my screen during a 3CX meeting.
I never had to before this, but now if I attempt to share my screen with anyone without a webcam attached, it doesn't share my screen.
I am really kind of leaning toward this being some sort of problem caused by Windows 10 updates since I have had nothing but problems with them but I don't know for sure and since others have reported the same behavior I was wondering if there was ever a fix or suggested steps to take.

thank you, David

Interesting find. What version of 3CX are you running?

Hi vizualpro.
Thank you for responding. We are running 3CX client version 15.5.12227.5. It used to work just fine but now if I start a meeting I have to have a webcam attached to my machine or it acts like it is working but no one can see my screen when I share it. I even turn the webcam off, but it still needs it? I am also using the 3CX browser client that is required, the 3CX Click to Call.
I actually am kind of wondering if windows 10 has done something to cause this, we have had a lot of weird behavior since the last couple of updates and the fact that you have to give your camera permissions to access software now....maybe that's part of it?
We have a person that is wanting to set up a meeting online where everyone shares their screen with each other, but at least one of those people has the same issue and is not able to share their screen. I haven't attempted to see if the others are able share their screen yet.

thank you.

Yea I'm going to have to agree that it's a Windows 10 issue but unfortunately I cannot test that. However I am running the same build and screen sharing is working without a hitch without a webcam hooked up.

Thank you again vizualpro, I appreciate you taking the time :) I am kinda thinking its related to windows 10 and I did ask them but no one has responded there. thanks again!
