Must upgrade to V16 before July 1?

I am using V15.5 at my site and having another two overseas site.

I receive from my 3CX partner that it is must to upgrade the license to professional and upgrade the system to V16 before July 1 so that we can remain the bridging feature.

I have upgrade the license to professional but I found V15.5 is not reaching EOL, can I keep my system to V15.5 as one of the site has upgrade to V15.5 just 2 month ago. I feel frustrated as V16 is only a very new version.

Best to discuss your options with your 3CX partner as far as features go VS the type of license you bought.

The V15.5SP6 will not be receiving updates in the future so V16 is the way forward. You can keep using it but the support will be limited as its transitioning into EOL, so for example (speaking broadly here):

• if you come across any issues that have been fixed in V16 then the action to solve the problem will be to upgrade - hence V15 will not be supported in this case
• if you come across problem yet unknown to us that can be replicated in both V15 and V16 there will be an opportunity for support, but if we need to release a fix it will be on V16
• if you have any issues that are solvable by making corrections in configuration then there will be opportunity for support on V15 too so this is on a per-case basis

If you don't have a severe limitation in your setup that forces you to stay on V15 then I suggest to use the opportunity renew maintenance and upgrade to V16 so you can continue to receive the future patches, firmware, templates and you will be on the version that has full 3CX Support.

Hi 3CX,

I have upgrade the license from standard to pro as 3CX partner said bridging feature will not be available in standard license. I have 3 sites using 3CX, two of them are V15.5 and one of them is on V16. Does it mean I still have time to plan to upgrade after July 1 without breaking the bridging?

I have consulted the 3CX partners in 3 sites - they got different feedback
Partner 1. You need to upgrade urgently otherwise 3 sites will not be communicate after July 1
Partner 2. You don't need to upgrade and you can stay in V15.5
Partner 3. No feedback, just said they have upgraded to V16.

It is the confusing point.
