Hello all,

I am having issues with my 6755i phone. It was a packet 8 phone which i have restored to factory default. I did reinstall firmware. 55i.st from the official site. Is the firmware from 3CX the same as the firmware off the avaya 6755i? I can not get the phone to show up in my list when i add the phone.

Also the softphones get an error of "The number you have dialed is not in service bla bla message 3002."

I checked my phone manager. Firewall passes everything and I have outbound rules setup as well.

Thank you in advance.

Where some Avaya phones now have the ability to work with 3CX you will find (from this list) that there aren't that many with the ability to do so: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

There are different methods for setup with the PBX and the method you mention "phones list" is reserved for Supported/Preferred phone models only. Yealinks, snom etc.

From your response I guess you are calling out to a DDI and not local extension. What are you calling out via ? A SIP trunk or Gateway to the PSTN ?

Have you tried looking at the Activity logs etc https://www.3cx.com/docs/collecting-logs-for-3cx-support/

Eddv thank you for replying so quickly. Yes I had checked prior to provisioning the phone if its on the list. It is not supported however it is on the compatible list (6755i). I have it configured with Call Centric with SIP.

The connection to Call Centric is good and its registered. Just stuck on getting the rest to work.Im going through the videos again to see if I missed something which Im sure I did. I have

If the 3CX log shows the dialled call being passed onto your provider, and that it the source of the recording, and you get it on all calls, not just one that may actually not be in service, then you are probably sending digits in an incorrect format/length.

Hello @Louie Saldivar

Is your phone an Avaya or Aastra device as there is not an Avaya 6755i. If you are using an Aastra phone you can follow this guide:
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/aastra/

The message you are getting is a Callcentric error which tells me that your call is routed to the provider. Make sure that you are dialling the number in the correct format and that you are not using their free service which only allows you to call numbers of the same service.
