Hello-

I am trying to get the system setup for evaluation and possible larger scale use. We have a linksys SPA3102 & 1 Grandstream phone. There are two main problems. First when a call comes in, the phone system sees it but doesn't pick up. It rings three times, I can hear a click like it has been picked up, then just dead air.

The other issue is outbound calls. I am fairly certain this is a outbound rule issue but can't seem to figure it out. Here is the info from the server status screen:

07:24:02.156 StunClient::process [CM115002] STUN resolved external IP=65.37.16.38:60198 by server 194.221.62.209
07:16:57.984 StratInOut::onHangUp [CM104007] Call(29): Call from Ext.100 to 999 has been terminated by Ext.100; cause: unknown
07:16:26.453 CallLegImpl::onConnected [CM103001] Call(29): Created audio channel for Ext.100 (192.168.254.2:5004) with Media Server (192.168.254.5:7102)
07:16:25.578 CallConf::onIncoming [CM103002] Call(29): Incoming call from 100 (Ext.100) to sip:[email protected]:5060
07:14:00.015 CallConf::Rejected [CM103005] Call(28) is rejected: Not Found
07:14:00.015 StratInOut::onCancel [CM104008] Call(28): Call from Ext.100 to 9 terminated; cause: 404 Not Found; from IP:192.168.254.251
07:13:59.937 CallConf::onIncoming [CM103002] Call(28): Incoming call from 100 (Ext.100) to sip:[email protected]:5060
07:12:32.781 CallConf::Rejected [CM103005] Call(27) is rejected: Not Found
07:12:32.781 StratInOut::onCancel [CM104008] Call(27): Call from Ext.100 to 92336040 terminated; cause: 404 Not Found; from IP:192.168.254.251
07:12:32.703 CallConf::onIncoming [CM103002] Call(27): Incoming call from 100 (Ext.100) to sip:[email protected]:5060

Thanks in advance!

First of all - welcome to 3CX!

1) Not sure yet...

2) Create an outbound rule with a transform mask of "r". This will remove the 9 from going out to the PSTN line which could be causing your 404 error.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried changing the rule. Here is what I have in it:

Name: Outbound
Calls starting with: 9
Calls from extensions: 100
VOIP Gateway: Lynksys
No B/U rule
Transform Mask: r

The display on the phone iteself gives me a 404 message.

Thanks!
John

Try taking out the "calls starting with 9"
You need 9 to dial out on any line, so you just need to strip it off in the transform mask.

Still not going. Here are the server entries. It looks like the call is looping around.

08:19:27.609 CallConf::Rejected [CM103005] Call(31) is rejected: Not Found
08:19:27.609 StratInOut::onCancel [CM104008] Call(31): Call from Ext.100 to 2336040 terminated; cause: 404 Not Found; from IP:192.168.254.251
08:19:27.531 CallConf::onIncoming [CM103002] Call(31): Incoming call from 100 (Ext.100) to sip:[email protected]:5060

Make highlighted settings empty (remove 100 from it).

Oh, sorry. When I looked carefully to IPs, I have noticed, that 404 response has come from Linksys gateway. So, check its dial plan. It looks like it doesn't accept 2336040 as a dial number.

Thanks for the feedback...

Here is the dial plan from the Linksys:

(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

I downloaded the SPA3102 instuction manual for the 3CX and have been going throuh line by line and noticed that the software version I have on the Linsys is 3.3.6(GW) whereas the manual has 5.5.1 (GWa). Could that have anything to do with it? I've noticed that there are a few items missing in my version vs. the manual.

Here is the dial plan I was using on the SPA-9000:
([09],[3469]11S0|[09],<:1203>[2-9]xxxxxx|[09],<:1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|[09],1[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|[09],011xx.|[09],xx.|[1-8]xxx)

Hello again. I tried the new dialing pattern and it looks like it is trying to route evey call to another extention rather than an outside line. Here are the server status notes:

07:44:58.703 CallConf::Rejected [CM103005] Call(36) is rejected: Not Found
07:44:58.703 StratInOut::onCancel [CM104008] Call(36): Call from Ext.100 to 2336040 terminated; cause: 404 Not Found; from IP:192.168.254.251
07:44:58.625 CallConf::onIncoming [CM103002] Call(36): Incoming call from 100 (Ext.100) to sip:[email protected]:5060
07:44:48.718 CallConf::Rejected [CM103005] Call(35) is rejected: Not Found
07:44:48.718 StratInOut::onCancel [CM104008] Call(35): Call from Ext.100 to 3360 terminated; cause: 404 Not Found; from IP:192.168.254.251

Thanks again for any suggestions.
