Outbound Caller ID format

I am trying to set the outbound caller id with a name and number. Does anyone know the format?

The format, for where? In north America, it's usually a 10 digit number.

Many providers do not allow you the option of sending a name.

Sorry yes we are in north America. If my provider does allow it, is there a special format for the outbound caller id field?

Caller name, over the PSTN network, is usually limited to 15 characters. I would stick with using only the 26 letters, and zero to 9 , as well as a space. Some receiving devices have been discovered, in the past, to have issues when any punctuation characters are used. You are best to confirm all of this with your provider.
